This hydrosol is used in skin application to treat fragile, acne-prone or eczema-prone skin. It soothes sunburns, burns, razor burns and insect bites. Orally, it regulates stress, agitation and nervous tension, calms pain (stomach, ulcer). To help children fall asleep, it is sprayed in the bedroom, on pillows or in the bath (2 tablespoons). It serves as an anti-lice (rinsing the hair with hydrosol diluted in water).

A hydrosol is distilled water obtained like essential oils, by distillation in a still. It is a by-product of the distillation, recovered at the exit of the still, loaded with active molecules of the plant which has been distilled to extract its essential oil.

It can be used in different ways:

-in cosmetics, such as toning and cleansing lotion or as a base for making homemade cosmetics.

-in cooking, to flavor a water or a cocktail

-in hydrolatherapy, orally (between 1 and 4 teaspoons per day, pure or to be diluted in water) or by the dermal route (in spray, in the bath, in application). It is suitable for children because it is less concentrated in active molecules (less aggressive than essential oil).
